What's hiding in your water, and how does it affect your hair?

Dullness, brassiness, rusty orange discoloration, green discoloration, poor texture, lack of movement, and difficulty getting successful results from color services with your stylist.

Are you experiencing any of these problems?

You might be surprised to learn how what’s hiding in your water affects your hair, scalp, and skin and can sabotage your stylist's services!

The problems above occur because very hard water over-oxidizes hair while coating it with heavy mineral particles that do not wash away. Very hard water contains high levels of calcium and magnesium, “rocks" if you can imagine it.

Chances are, you're shampooing your hair in very hard water several times a week and creating a massive buildup of minerals that will prevent color from adhering to the hair itself resulting in fading, ashy ends, and lots of reformulating and rebleaching with your stylist.

The only way you can combat these water-borne elements and give your family healthy hair with great color and style is if you know what’s in the water and what to do about it.

And don’t forget your family members with natural blonde hair. Tap water also affects the texture, brilliance, and manageability of natural blonde hair, as does pool water. I've seen this first hand in the salon, ends that have have specific Barbie-like texture, greenish cast and even lightening of the natural hair in extreme circumstances. The good news is, I have a solution for this as well!

Proper at-home care, as well as a MalibuC Crystal in salon gel treatment, is recommended for all my clients, particularly before a color service or at minimum every 9 months to a year. This time-tested treatment gently removes mineral buildup, normalizing the hair and scalp and preparing it to receive color. At home, blondes should use the MalibuC Blonde Packets to keep their hair shiny, bright, and fresh, and to prevent minerals from building up again.

Un-do-goo is my other secret weapon. Use this shampoo as often as recommended by your stylist, please ask what they recommend, it's not a regular everyday shampoo, and you'll see the difference in your hair and scalp.
